Earlier this year, our team at FURY had the exciting opportunity to bring the world of Free Fire Max to life for the Challenger Series 2025, produced by The Esports Club (TEC). This project challenged us to design and build a high-energy, game-inspired virtual environment tailored for esports production. With the flexibility of InfinitySet and the power of Unreal Engine, we created a dynamic stage that matched the intensity of competitive esports, while staying true to the distinct style of Free Fire Max.

Collaboration & Production

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the trust and vision of the TEC production team, who shared our passion for pushing the boundaries of virtual production. Together, we delivered an environment that blended creativity, technology, and esports storytelling.

Behind the virtual studio was Brainstorm technology, seamlessly integrated to support the live broadcast needs of the Challenger Series. The set itself was designed by FURY, bringing together game-inspired aesthetics and broadcast-ready functionality.

Tools & Workflow

The project was powered by a combination of industry-leading tools:

InfinitySet – for real-time virtual studio control, camera tracking, and live graphics integration.

Unreal Engine – for world-building, lighting, and delivering game-accurate visual fidelity.

InfinitySet’s native Unreal support allowed us to merge the two platforms, ensuring a smooth workflow and the flexibility to adapt the set for a fast-paced, live esports production.

Design Approach

Our design goal was to build a Free Fire Max-inspired environment that matched the energy and atmosphere of the Challenger Series. Every element of the stage was designed to feel like a natural extension of the game’s world while still functioning as a professional esports broadcast set.

The combination of camera tracking and live graphics integration added depth and interactivity, making the production more immersive for viewers and enhancing the storytelling of the competition.

Challenges & Key Learnings

Designing for live esports production requires a careful balance between game-inspired visuals and technical reliability. The biggest challenge was ensuring the set felt true to Free Fire Max’s visual identity while maintaining performance and flexibility for a dynamic broadcast.

Through this project, our team reinforced the importance of building environments that are both immersive for fans and seamlessly functional for live production teams.

Conclusion

The Free Fire Max Challenger Series 2025 was a milestone project for us at FURY: showcasing how game worlds can be transformed into real-time, broadcast-ready environments. By combining Unreal Engine’s creative power with InfinitySet’s production flexibility, we helped create a stage that elevated the live esports experience.
